Our client is hiring a Senior ESG Consultant to join their growing Consultancy with a focus on sustainability in a variety of industries.
Job Description:
Senior ESG Consultant
You will be required to consult with the board and senior management of new and existing clients to help them understand and document areas of Environmental, Social and Governance at their company and map their journey to Net Zero. This will be documented in an annual ESG Impact Report and shared with various stakeholders.
- Generate consulting revenues through ESG maturity assessments, due diligence for Private Equity, and annual ESG Impact Reports.
- Review Net Zero baseline calculations, devise carbon reduction plans, and develop TCFD-aligned climate risk strategies.
- Score and benchmark clients on ESG metrics, providing actionable plans for long-term value creation.
- Manage a small team (3-4 persons) of ESG Consultants.
Professional and Personal Attributes
Our client is a Consultancy firm and having experience working in a Consultancy would give you a competitive advantage in ESG.
- Minimum of 4 years experience in Environmental, Social or Governance aspects of Sustainability in a business consulting environment.
- Passionate about Net-zero / ESG or Sustainability
- Worked for a Consultancy business.
- Previous experience with private equity focused clients.
- Enjoy writing as a consultant, as this is a significant part of the role.
- Strong in Decarbonisation / Net Zero strategy/advisory, carbon management
- Investor reporting, including TCFD (Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures)
