Electricity Design Engineer ready to take the next step into a technical leadership role?

  • We're looking for a
  • Lead Design Engineer to lead a talented team delivering the design and adoption of

LV, HV and ideally EHV electricity networks , supporting major infrastructure and low-carbon energy projects across the UK.

If you enjoy solving complex engineering challenges, mentoring engineers and working closely with DNOs, developers and customers, this could be the opportunity you've been waiting for.

  • What You'll Be Doing
  • Leading and developing a team of Design Engineers.
  • Reviewing and approving LV, HV & EHV network designs.
  • Managing DNO connection applications and upstream network negotiations.
  • Providing technical guidance on complex design challenges.
  • Collaborating with developers, customers and key stakeholders to deliver high-quality network solutions.
  • Driving engineering excellence, continuous improvement and compliance with industry standards.
  • We're Looking For
  • Background within a

DNO, IDNO or ICP environment.

  • Experience using

Win Debut, IPSA, Vis Net or similar network modelling software .

  • Strong understanding of

2D CAD and electricity network design standards.

  • Previous leadership, mentoring or supervisory experience.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • A passion for developing people and delivering technically excellent solutions.
