This is an exciting opportunity for a graduate looking to start a career in sustainability and ESG consulting within a consultancy. This graduate programme is focused on career development through on the job training. You’ll join as a Data Analyst, supporting the delivery of ESG and sustainability projects, with a clear progression pathway into an Associate ESG Consultant role. Working alongside experienced consultants, you’ll gain hands‑on experience across carbon accounting, ESG strategy, and climate‑related reporting. The role combines data analysis, client interaction, and sustainability expertise, giving you exposure to real‑world projects within the consultancy from day one and the opportunity to contribute to meaningful environmental impact.

Job Responsibilities

  • Support ESG and sustainability project delivery, including:
    • ESG maturity assessments
    • Net‑zero strategies and emissions reduction planning
    • Climate risk assessments
    • ESG due diligence
    • Impact reporting and disclosures
  • Assist in calculating carbon footprints across Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions
  • Analyse sustainability data and translate findings into clear, actionable insights
  • Support the preparation of reports, presentations, and client deliverables
  • Engage with clients through data analysis, stakeholder interviews, and implementation support
  • Conduct research on ESG frameworks, regulations, and market trends (e.g. TCFD, CSRD, EU Taxonomy)
  • Contribute to internal research, knowledge sharing, and thought leadership
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to support holistic sustainability solutions

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (2:1 or above) in a relevant field such as Sustainability, Environmental Science, Engineering, Geography, Data Analytics, Economics, or similar.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to work with data
  • Client facing confidence.
  • Strong technical data background which includes excel skills (e.g. data structuring, pivot tables, lookups), python, R.
  • Ability to interpret data and present clear, logical insights.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
