We’re seeking an experienced Gas Pipe Layer / Gas Operative to join our growing utilities team. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in laying, maintaining, and connecting gas mains and services, working safely and efficiently on both domestic and commercial infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Installing, testing, and maintaining gas mains and service pipelines
- Working with PE pipework up to and above 180mm
- Ensuring all works comply with health, safety, and environmental standards
- Collaborating with team members and site supervisors to deliver projects on time
- Accurately recording work and maintaining high-quality standards
Qualifications & Experience
- City & Guilds / C&G qualification (NCO2 Service Layer or Main Layer)
- Experience with gas mains and service installation
- Understanding of gas safety procedures and pipeline standards
- Strong awareness of site safety and compliance
- Experience with mains up to or above 180mm
- Street Works (NRSWA) certification
- SHEA Gas or equivalent safety passport
