With a strong reputation for delivering high-quality projects on time and within budget, our client specializes in a range of civil and groundworks solutions, including infrastructure, drainage, and foundation works. They are now seeking an experienced Estimator to join their dynamic team to support their growing portfolio of projects across Kent and the Southeast. The Role: As an Estimator, you will play a key role in the pre-construction phase of projects, providing accurate and competitive cost estimates for a variety of civil engineering and groundworks contracts. You will liaise closely with clients, suppliers, and internal teams to deliver detailed proposals that align with company and client expectations. Key Responsibilities: * Analyze project drawings, specifications, and tender documentation to develop detailed cost estimates. * Source and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors. * Prepare and submit competitive tender submissions within deadlines. * Identify risks, opportunities, and value engineering solutions to improve cost efficiency. * Maintain accurate records of estimates and pricing databases. * Collaborate with the project and management teams to develop winning strategies. * Assist in post-tender negotiations and handover of successful projects to the delivery team. About You: * Proven experience as an Estimator in civils and groundworks. * Strong knowledge of pricing drainage, foundations, earthworks, and other groundworks packages. * Proficient in reviewing and interpreting technical drawings and specifications. * Excellent negotiation and communication skills. * Highly organized with attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines. * Experience with estimating software (e.g., Conquest, Causeway) is advantageous. * Knowledge of the construction market in the Southeast is highly desirable.
