Hospital Visitor Volunteers

Hospital Visitor Volunteers attend Mental Health Facilities on a weekly basis to visit people detained under the Mental Health Act. The purpose of this role is to highlight the work paid Independent Mental Health Advocates (IMHAs) do. They help people access services by providing referrals, providing accessible information about advocacy and signposting to other services.

Tasks and responsibilities:

  • Promote advocacy services
  • Keep detailed notes and records of interactions with clients
  • Flexible hours based on your availability and other factors.
