IntoUniversity is a National educational charity, who aim to raise the aspirations of young people from disadvantaged backgrounds. Our mission is to break the cycle of disadvantage, encourage young people to reach their full potential, and open up new opportunities for them.
IntoUniversity is offering an amazing opportunity for university students or recent graduates from the University of Hull and York to become mentors to our young people. As a University Student Mentor, you will be paired with a young person aged between 10-17 years. You will lead one-to-one sessions in-person or online, supporting your mentee with academic skills, social and emotional development, and future thinking. Meetings are arranged for one hour every two weeks or for ten sessions across the academic year. These can take place in-person or online from Monday-Thursday between 3pm-5.30pm. With centres in Hull, Bridlington, and Grimsby you can choose which centre works best for you.
