Are you a compassionate individual looking to make a positive impact in your community?
If so our dementia local charity is seeking volunteers to help us provide vital support to people living with dementia and their families.

About Us

Our charity is committed to improving the lives of people affected by dementia in Hull and East Yorkshire. We provide a range of services, including support groups, befriending schemes, and educational programs.

The Catering Volunteer Role

As a volunteer, you will play a crucial role in helping us deliver our local enjoyable and rewarding activities by preparing food and drinks at our luncheon club.

Tasks will include:

Preparing a simple snack lunch, like soup or sandwiches followed by a dessert.

Helping with washing up and clearing the kitchen after use.

Supporting with providing a warm welcome at sessions.

Compassion and empathy for people with dementia and their families

A team ethic and ability to communicate well with otthers

Some experience preparing food or within a catering capacity.

A hygiene certificate would be useful, but we can help you gain this for free.

Ability to commit to regular volunteering between 11am and 2pm fortnightly.

Ability to maintain confidentiality and uphold our charity\’s values
