About Us

Our charity is committed to improving the lives of people affected by dementia in Hull and East Yorkshire. We provide a range of services, including support groups, befriending schemes, and educational programs.

The Activities Volunteer Role

As a volunteer, you will play a crucial role in helping us deliver our local, enjoyable and rewarding activities. The role will involve helping us to deliver our fortnightly luncheon club sessions from start to finish.

  • Support setting up and clearing the room
  • Welcoming and talking to attendees
  • Helping with activities to provide real enjoyment for everyone
  • Tidying up pots and resources at the end of sessions

What we need from you

  • Compassion and empathy for people with dementia and their families
  • A team ethic and ability to communicate well with others
  • Physical capacity to support with more manual tasks like lifting and stacking chairs
  • The ability to commit to regular volunteering between 1.30 and 2.15pm fortnightly
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and uphold our charity's values
