About Us
Our charity is committed to improving the lives of people affected by dementia in Hull and East Yorkshire. We provide a range of services, including support groups, befriending schemes, and educational programs.
The Activities Volunteer Role
As a volunteer, you will play a crucial role in helping us deliver our local, enjoyable and rewarding activities. The role will involve helping us to deliver our fortnightly luncheon club sessions from start to finish.
Tasks include:
- Support setting up and clearing the room
- Welcoming and talking to attendees
- Helping with activities to provide real enjoyment for everyone
- Tidying up pots and resources at the end of sessions

What we need from you
- Compassion and empathy for people with dementia and their families
- A team ethic and ability to communicate well with others
- Physical capacity to support with more manual tasks like lifting and stacking chairs
- The ability to commit to regular volunteering between 1.30 and 2.15pm fortnightly
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and uphold our charity\’s values
