Great North Run 2026 Volunteer Photographer for Teenage Cancer Trust
Could you help capture the amazing atmosphere of the Great North Run and create keepsakes for our team of runners?
Bring your photography skills to race day to snap our fundraisers and volunteers in image form.
Join us at our cheer point or tent to get the best reaction from participants and help us to make sure the experience is one they will never forget!
When: Sunday 13 September 2026.
Where: Great North Run race route – exact cheer point location is TBC, will be emailed once confirmed. What3Words: TBC.
- What will I gain
- A first-class experience soaking up the atmosphere of the event.
- Credit for photographs used/published.
- Reasonable travel expenses of £25 per volunteer per day covered in line with our expenses policy.
- Support beforehand and on the day from your volunteer manager.
- What skills do I need
- Professional or talented amateur photographer, or photography student looking to develop portfolio and own camera.
- Ability to build rapport with supporters and young people with cancer.
- Understanding of photography and some good experience of this type of work.
- Creativity and initiative to take the best possible shots.
- Tasks and responsibilities
- Snap and/or video Teenage Cancer Trust runners, volunteers, the crowds, and race day in general, capturing the unparalleled atmosphere of the race.
- Advise the charity on potential photography opportunities, as identified.
