An established global consulting and professional services organisation is seeking an experienced Senior Manager or Associate Director to join its Cyber Incident Response Advisory and Incident Management practice in the UK. This opportunity sits within a high-performing Cyber practice comprising experienced professionals from diverse academic and technical backgrounds. The team supports clients in designing and implementing cyber resilience strategies, managing high-impact incidents, and strengthening operational readiness across complex environments.
The successful candidate will provide clients with a full spectrum of proactive and reactive Cyber Incident Response (CIR) services. The proactive arm of the practice includes:
- Incident response playbook development
- Wargaming and tabletop exercises
- Cyber readiness assessments
- Post-breach reviews
- Managed threat hunting
- Response automation and orchestration
- Executive awareness and training initiatives
The reactive response function supports clients during live cyber incidents by identifying root causes, coordinating response activities, managing stakeholder communications, and helping organisations contain and recover from security events.
As a Senior Manager or Associate Director, you will play a key leadership role in growing the business across both proactive and reactive cyber response services while leading client engagements and supporting live incidents in an incident management capacity.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead cyber incident response advisory engagements for enterprise clients
- Manage and coordinate live cyber incident response activities
- Develop incident response plans and scenario-specific playbooks
- Design and facilitate cyber crisis simulations, tabletop exercises, and wargaming sessions
- Lead diverse consulting teams in a collaborative and inclusive environment
- Build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders and C-suite executives
- Drive business development initiatives, proposals, and client presentations
- Contribute to the development of new cyber response offerings and services
- Mentor and coach junior team members and support capability development
- Deliver complex projects with responsibility for programme, financial, and people management
Required Experience
- Proven experience in incident management, crisis management, or cyber incident response
- Strong understanding of cyber threat actors, attacker methodologies, and incident response frameworks
- Experience developing incident response documentation and operational procedures
- Experience facilitating cyber exercises and resilience training sessions
- Strong consulting, stakeholder management, and communication skills
- Commercial awareness and understanding of enterprise business operations
- Experience managing large-scale client engagements and delivery teams
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences
Desirable Skills & Certifications
- CISSP, GIAC, CompTIA Security+, ITIL, CIPP/E, SANS or similar certifications
- Familiarity with NIST, ISO27001, and related security frameworks
- Government security clearance eligibility
- Experience operating within on-call incident response rotations
- Experience supporting clients across UK and EMEA regions
