What do you prefer – a list of technical tweaks and new systems for the sakes of it…or being part of defining and implementing firmwide business change, led by technology? The role here is with a large consulting/advisory firm, and this is about consulting in the true sense of the word; workshops with clients, helping them understand the benefits of Workday Financials in their finance function. Designing and implementing large scale solutions (clients are typically medium to large firms) as part of their transformation journey, and making it work for the whole business.
The Role: Leading client facing Workday Finance projects, from design through to deployment. You’ll be the main subject matter expert on the workstream (either R2R or P2P), usually as part of a large scale Workday Financials implementation for clients across industries.
What you’ll need:
- You’ll need to be experienced in Workday Finance, ideally having seen through the full project lifecycle more than once, either in consulting or industry.
- A Finance mindset – accounting qualifications are certainly beneficial, a big part of your role is seeing this through the eyes of the CFO and finance function. You need to speak their language.
- Strong experience in leading either R2R implementations and enhancements (General Ledger, Consolidation, Reporting) or P2P processes (Procurement, Expenses, Supplier Accounts).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
