My client offers innovative direct mail production, print and design services throughout the UK, working with both independent businesses and blue-chip companies. Due to continued growth and increasing demand, we are seeking a Picking and Packing Operative to support our expanding operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Picking and packing requested orders for a variety of jobs
- Assisting with ad-hoc tasks as required
- Ensuring accuracy of order information
- Identifying and reporting any errors or issues during the picking and packing process
- Monitoring product standards and implementing quality control programmes
- Collaborating with managers and colleagues to implement company policies and goals
- Identifying training needs
- Following company procedures related to Health & Safety, including equipment checks and prompt reporting of accidents or injuries
- Promoting a positive culture around Health, Safety & Environment and ensuring effective systems are in place
- Ensuring the safety of oneself and others
- Maintaining a clean and organised working environment
Additional Duties:
Packing staff will be expected to carry out a variety of tasks, including preparing and packing goods, as well as general warehouse duties.
Candidate Requirements:
- Ideally previous packing experience
- Good level of communication skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Working Hours:
You’ll work a 37.5-hour week across 5 days, covering either early or late shifts:
- Earlies: Monday to Friday: 08:30–16:30, Sunday: 08:30–16:30
- Lates: Monday to Friday: 10:30–18:30, Sunday: 10:30–18:30
