Site Based Project Manager Role
Location: Hertfordshire
Project Value: £5 Million
Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, Site-Based
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and driven Site-Based Project Manager to lead the delivery of a £5M new build commercial and industrial project in Hertfordshire. This is a fantastic opportunity for a seasoned professional who thrives in a hands-on, site-based role and has a proven track record of delivering commercial or industrial projects from inception to completion.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee all phases of the project lifecycle, from pre-construction through to handover
Manage site operations, ensuring health & safety, quality, and programme adherence
Coordinate and lead subcontractors, suppliers, and site teams
Liaise with clients, consultants, and stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met
Monitor project budgets, timelines, and resource allocation
Ensure compliance with all statutory and company regulations
Produce and maintain project documentation, including reports, risk assessments, and progress updates
Required Qualifications & Experience
Minimum 5 years' experience as a Project Manager on commercial or industrial new build projects
Proven track record of managing projects up to £6M in value
CSCS Black Card
SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme)
First Aid at Work certification
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities on a live construction site
Comfortable being site-based Monday to Friday
