Job Description

Fire Door Remediation & Projects Manager

Location: Office-based in South Yorksire with UK-wide travel

Salary: £50,000-£55,000 + Package

? About the Role

We're seeking a versatile and experienced Projects Manager to lead fire door remediation and retrofit works across a growing portfolio of commercial and public sector sites. You'll oversee multiple concurrent projects-ranging from supermarkets to schools and healthcare facilities-with values up to £4M. This is a hands-on, dynamic role for someone who thrives in both office and site environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Remediate and retrofit fire doors and partitions, including correction of poor installations
  • Ensure compliance with fire safety standards and remediation accreditations
  • Liaise with office teams and external partners including 
  • Oversee 4-5 live projects across the UK
  • Manage subcontractors and site teams to deliver high-quality building works
  • Maintain strong communication with clients and stakeholders
  • Ensure all works meet SMSTS and fire asset accreditation standards
  • Contribute to other general building projects as needed

What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience in fire door remediation and passive fire protection
  • SMSTS certified
  • Accredited under fire door remediation schemes
  • Strong project management skills with ability to juggle multiple sites
  • Comfortable working across sectors: retail, education, healthcare
  • Excellent communicator with ability to coordinate between office and field
  • Recognized within the fire safety or passive fire industry is a plus
  • All-rounder with a proactive, solutions-driven mindset
