Job Description
Fire Door Remediation & Projects Manager
Location: Office-based in South Yorksire with UK-wide travel
Salary: £50,000-£55,000 + Package
? About the Role
We're seeking a versatile and experienced Projects Manager to lead fire door remediation and retrofit works across a growing portfolio of commercial and public sector sites. You'll oversee multiple concurrent projects-ranging from supermarkets to schools and healthcare facilities-with values up to £4M. This is a hands-on, dynamic role for someone who thrives in both office and site environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Remediate and retrofit fire doors and partitions, including correction of poor installations
- Ensure compliance with fire safety standards and remediation accreditations
- Liaise with office teams and external partners includingÂ
- Oversee 4-5Â live projects across the UK
- Manage subcontractors and site teams to deliver high-quality building works
- Maintain strong communication with clients and stakeholders
- Ensure all works meet SMSTS and fire asset accreditation standards
- Contribute to other general building projects as needed
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience in fire door remediation and passive fire protection
- SMSTS certified
- Accredited under fire door remediation schemes
- Strong project management skills with ability to juggle multiple sites
- Comfortable working across sectors: retail, education, healthcare
- Excellent communicator with ability to coordinate between office and field
- Recognized within the fire safety or passive fire industry is a plus
- All-rounder with a proactive, solutions-driven mindset
