Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Shift Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day operations of our manufacturing facility in Oldham. This role involves managing a team of up to 20 staff per shift, ensuring production targets, quality standards, and health and safety requirements are consistently met. The Shift Supervisor will act as a key holder, responsible for securing the site and responding to alarm call-outs when required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage up to 20 staff per shift to ensure efficient and productive operations.
- Ensure all health and safety procedures are followed at all times.
- Monitor production output and quality, addressing any issues promptly to minimise downtime.
- Lead, motivate, and support staff, including training and performance management.
- Conduct shift handovers and team briefings to maintain clear communication.
- Manage attendance, shift cover, and any on-shift issues or incidents.
- Act as key holder, responsible for locking up and securing the premises.
- Respond to alarm call-outs and emergencies as required.
- Maintain accurate records and reports related to staff, production, and incidents.
- Work closely with management to drive continuous improvement.

- Previous supervisory experience within a manufacturing environment.
- CNC experience is highly desirable.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
