About the Role: We are looking for a Moulding Plant Operator to join our team in the manufacturing department. The successful candidate will play a key role in operating moulding machinery, ensuring the smooth production of high-quality products. This is a physically demanding role, ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
Working Hours:
- Monday to Thursday: 07:30 - 16:30
- Friday: 07:30 - 12:30
Hourly Rate: £12.21 per hour (increasing after Week 4 based on experience and performance)
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain various moulding machines and equipment to produce products in line with production schedules.
- Ensure all safety and quality standards are followed during the manufacturing process.
- Conduct routine checks and inspections of equipment and moulds to identify issues before they occur.
- Monitor and adjust machines for optimal performance and output.
- Troubleshoot and resolve minor technical issues with machinery.
- Assist with loading/unloading raw materials and finished products.
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and keep work areas clean and organised.
- Report any equipment malfunctions, safety concerns, or production issues to supervisors.
- Participate in continuous improvement activities and provide feedback for process optimisations.
Requirements:
- Physically fit: Must be able to lift and move materials, stand for long periods, and work in a physically demanding environment.
- Previous machine operating experience: Experience with operating machinery in a manufacturing environment is essential.
- Chemical knowledge (beneficial but not essential): Previous experience or knowledge of chemicals used in the moulding process will be an advantage.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
