A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Head of Accounts Payroll to join a well-established care provider with over 35 years of service excellence. This is a key leadership role overseeing the day-to-day financial operations of a large, multi-site organisation. You will lead the finance function, ensure strong financial controls, and provide accurate reporting to support strategic decision-making across the Group. This is a hands-on, office-based role with occasional travel to services.
The Role
- Lead and manage all daily finance operations
- Produce monthly management accounts with clear commentary
- Oversee sales ledger, purchase ledger, payroll input, banking, and reconciliations
- Manage cashflow, credit control, and debt recovery
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements (HMRC, pensions, reporting)
- Support budgeting and financial performance monitoring
- Lead year-end processes and liaise with external auditors
- Manage and develop the finance team
- Work closely with operational managers to improve financial understanding and cost control
