We are seeking a skilled and motivated Domestic Electrician to join our team, delivering high-quality responsive and day-to-day repairs within residential properties. The role involves working independently as a mobile worker, ensuring electrical systems are safe, compliant, and maintained to a high standard while delivering excellent customer service.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Carry out responsive and day-to-day electrical repairs in domestic properties.
- Complete all required testing and certification in line with regulatory standards.
- Work independently as a mobile operative, managing workloads efficiently.
- Conduct Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs).
- Perform periodic testing, including monthly and annual checks, and complete certification.
- Undertake minor electrical installation works in domestic settings.
- Repair and maintain appliances and fixtures such as cookers, showers, and electric fireplaces.
- Carry out weekly vehicle (van) checks to ensure roadworthiness and safety compliance.
- Use company-issued tablets in accordance with company policies for job management and reporting.
- Promote and support the organisation's "Families First" culture in all interactions.
- Champion a strong Health & Safety culture, identifying and addressing risks proactively.

Person Specification

Experience & Knowledge
- Proven experience in a domestic electrician role.

- Experience in emergency lighting testing (desirable but not essential).
Qualifications & Requirements
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation.
- AM2 Certification.
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671).
- City & Guilds 2391 or 2395 (Testing & Inspection).
- ECS Card (Installation Electrician minimum).
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Willingness to undergo security clearance where required.
