About the Role

As Deputy Care Manager, you\’ll support the Registered Manager with the day-to-day operations of the service and help ensure high-quality, person-centred care is consistently delivered. Key Responsibilities for the Deputy Care Manager include:

  • Act as the key point of contact for clients and care staff, resolving queries and maintaining strong relationships.
  • Assist in the coordination of care services, including assessments, care planning, and scheduling.
  • Maintain accurate personnel records and conduct regular staff supervision.
  • Attend client reviews, manage updates to care plans, and participate in quality assurance processes.
  • Support recruitment and onboarding of new carers.
  • Participate in the on-call rota and cover care calls in emergencies.
  • Ensure all communications and records are kept up to date using care planning software.

What We\’re Looking For

Essential:

  • Experience working in the care sector.
  • NVQ/QCF/RQF Level 2 in Health & Social Care (with commitment to achieve Level 3).
  • A Social Care Portfolio (courses, certificates, CPD).
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and solve problems efficiently.
  • IT proficiency.
  • Clean driving licence.

Desirable:

  • NVQ/QCF/RQF Level 3 in Health & Social Care.
  • Previous experience in office administration and coordinating care schedules.
  • Leadership experience or experience supporting a Registered Manager.
