We are seeking an ambitious AI & Automation Developer to join an expanding technology team, playing a key role in designing, developing, and supporting innovative business-critical systems and automation solutions.

The Opportunity
You’ll be responsible for developing and enhancing a suite of internal systems that connect core business platforms with CRM, telephony, messaging, workflow automation, and AI technologies.
Working across a modern technology stack, you’ll take ownership of projects from initial requirements through to deployment and ongoing support.
The successful candidate will be encouraged to leverage AI-powered development tools while applying strong engineering principles to ensure quality, security, maintainability, and commercial value.
This role would suit someone who enjoys working across both front-end and back-end development and has a passion for automation, process improvement, and emerging technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, maintain, and improve AI-driven business processes and automation solutions.
- Translate operational requirements into scalable and reliable software applications.
- Develop across multiple technologies including React, Type Script, Python, Node. js, SQL Server, APIs, and desktop applications.
- Build and maintain integrations with third-party platforms using REST APIs and webhooks.
- Develop and support middleware systems that connect business-critical applications.
- Create and maintain SQL Server databases, schemas, stored procedures, and data models.
- Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions for applications, integrations, and AI workflows.
- Use AI development tools and coding assistants to accelerate delivery while maintaining high-quality engineering standards.
- Design controls, guardrails, testing frameworks, and governance for AI-powered processes.
- Investigate and resolve production issues across applications, integrations, databases, and automated workflows.
- Manage software releases, deployments, version control, and CI/CD processes.
- Collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders to deliver effective business solutions.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Commercial software development experience.
- Strong understanding of databases, data structures, and data management principles.
- Solid SQL and relational database experience, ideally SQL Server.
- Experience building and consuming REST APIs and webhooks.
- Comfortable working across both front-end and back-end development environments.
- Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience using AI-assisted development tools in a commercial environment.
- Understanding of monitoring, logging, and application support best practices.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to manage projects independently from requirements gathering through to deployment.
Desirable Experience

- Python (Fast API, Flask or similar)

- Electron or desktop application development
- SQL Server optimisation and performance tuning
- Workflow automation platforms such as n8n
- CRM integrations

- Cloud-based technologies and business systems integrations
- Voice AI, Conversational AI, SMS, Messaging Platforms or Document Analysis solutions
- Experience within highly regulated or process-driven environments
