The CompanyOur client is a specialist mechanical contractor delivering high-quality projects across the education and healthcare sectors. Working directly with end users (not frameworks), they deliver mechanical upgrade and decarbonisation projects including:Boiler plant room refurbishmentsCommercial pipework installationsDecarbonisation heat pump installationsProjects are typically lower value but high volume, with individual schemes up to circa 500k. Sites are primarily across the North West (up to Leyland) Due to continued growth, they are seeking a Mechanical Project Manager to join their Liverpool-based team.The RoleThe Mechanical Project Manager will take full responsibility for the delivery of mechanical projects from pre-construction through to handover. You will manage multiple projects simultaneously across live education and healthcare environments.This is a client-facing role, working directly with schools, universities, and hospitals.Key ResponsibilitiesFull lifecycle project management of mechanical installationsManaging boiler room upgrades and heat pump decarbonisation schemesCoordination of subcontractors and site teamsProgramme management and ensuring timely deliveryCost control and financial management of projectsProcurement of materials and subcontract packagesClient liaison and stakeholder managementEnsuring health & safety complianceManaging multiple projects (typically up to 1m in value)RequirementsMechanical bias/background (essential)Experience managing commercial mechanical projectsExperience within education or healthcare environments (desirable)Strong understanding of boiler plant and pipework systemsExposure to heat pump or decarbonisation projects advantageousAbility to manage project costs and budgetsStrong communication and client-facing skillsAbility to manage multiple live sites across the North WestCandidates with slightly less experience will be considered at a lower salary level.What’s on OfferSalary up to 60,000 (DOE)Discretionary bonusStable pipeline of secured workDirect-to-client project exposureGrowing decarbonisation-focused businessLong-term career progression opportunitiesDiscipline(s): Construction & PropertyDuration: 2.0Job type: Permanent
