Overview

In this role you will lead mechanical project delivery from pre-construction to handover for multiple schemes in education and healthcare environments.

You will work directly with schools, universities, and hospitals to manage boiler upgrades and decarbonisation installations, ensuring on-schedule, on-budget delivery.

The position combines client-facing liaison with hands-on project coordination across North West sites, supporting a growing decarbonisation-focused business.

Responsibilities

  • Full lifecycle management of mechanical installations
  • Manage boiler room upgrades and heat pump decarbonisation schemes
  • Coordinate subcontractors and site teams
  • Programme management and on-time delivery
  • Control project costs and budgets
  • Procurement of materials and subcontract packages
  • Client liaison and stakeholder management
  • Ensure health & safety compliance
  • Oversee multiple live projects (up to £1m)
  • Key requirements
  • Mechanical bias/background (essential)
  • Experience managing commercial mechanical projects
  • Experience in education or healthcare environments (desirable)
  • Strong understanding of boiler plant and pipework systems
  • Exposure to heat pumps or decarbonisation projects advantageous
  • Ability to manage project costs and budgets
  • Strong communication and client-facing skills
  • Ability to manage multiple live sites across the North West
