Project Manager RoleLocation: Leeds (Monday- Friday)Permanent | 55,000-60,000 + Car AllowanceWe are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of a high-profile 11 million commercial conversion project in Leeds, transforming an existing office building into a 110-bedroom hotel.This is a fast-paced refurbishment and extension scheme involving significant structural alterations, including a rooftop extension, side extensions, extensive strip-out works, and full internal fit-out. The successful candidate will take ownership of the project on a day-to-day basis and drive successful delivery throughout the 14-month programme.The RoleReporting directly to the Contracts Manager, you will be responsible for managing all on-site operations and ensuring the project is delivered safely, on programme, and to the highest quality standards.Key responsibilities will include:Managing the day-to-day delivery of a 13m hotel refurbishment and extension projectLeading site health and safety compliance and promoting a positive safety cultureManaging and coordinating subcontractors and site teamsChairing contractor and progress meetingsMonitoring and driving programme deliveryCoordinating with the design team and resolving construction issuesManaging site logistics and site setup activitiesMaintaining quality standards and attention to detail throughout the projectEnsuring project documentation and site records are accurately maintainedWorking closely with the Contracts Manager on programme objectives and project milestonesManaging and supporting a Site Manager assigned to the projectPlease note that client management, design management, and overall programme oversight will be supported by the Contracts Manager.The ideal candidate will have:Proven experience managing fast-track refurbishment projectsPrevious hotel, care home, or similar accommodation-sector experienceStrong background in commercial refurbishment and fit-outExperience delivering projects involving structural alterations and extensionsExcellent organisational and communication skillsA proactive approach and strong attention to detailThe ability to work effectively in a fast-paced construction environmentEssential QualificationsSMSTSFirst Aid at WorkCSCS Black Card PASMA (desirable)Scaffold Awareness (desirable)Temporary Works Co-ordinator (TWC) (desirable)Working HoursSite-based roleMonday to Friday7:30am β 5:00pmWhat's on Offer?Salary of 55,000-60,000Car allowanceLong-term project security with a 14-month programmeWorking with an experienced senior leadership team on high-quality, challenging projectsInterview ProcessFirst-stage interview with the Contracts ManagerFinal-stage interview with Senior ManagementLocationApplicants should be located within a commutable distance of Leeds.Start Date: Early AugustDiscipline(s): Construction & PropertyDuration: 2.0Job type: Permanent
