Groundworker / Breaking Out Operatives

Liverpool (L1 8LY) £19.00 per hour Temporary Contract Immediate Start Available

We are currently recruiting for 2 Labourers / Breaking Out Operatives to join a project in Liverpool city centre on behalf of a respected construction contractor.

This role involves assisting with breaking out works using handheld breakers as part of a two-person team. Operatives will rotate on the breaker approximately every 30-40 minutes, ensuring safe working practices and reducing exposure to vibration.

Key Duties

• Operating handheld breaking equipment.
• Assisting with demolition and breaking out works.
• Rotating breaker usage with another operative.
• Keeping the site and work area clean, safe, and tidy.
• Supporting other site activities as required.
• Following all site health and safety procedures.

Requirements

• Valid CSCS Card.
• Previous experience using a breaker on construction sites.
• Willingness to work as part of a team and get involved with general labouring duties.
• Reliable and hard-working attitude.
• Ability to follow site safety procedures at all times.

Essential PPE

Essential Compliance

Candidates must be able to demonstrate or complete:

• Face Fit Testing
• Asbestos Awareness
• Manual Handling
• Pre-Online Site Induction

Site Risks

The role may involve exposure to:

• Silica Dust
• Hand-Arm Vibration
• Noise
• Slips, Trips and Falls

Appropriate control measures and site safety procedures will be in place.
