Document Controller

Location: Greater Manchester Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 per annum Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am - 5:00pm Working Pattern: Fully Office-Based

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a proactive and organised Document Controller to join a growing construction business at its head office in Stockport.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys improving processes, driving efficiencies, and taking ownership of document control systems.

The business has been utiliseing Procore for the last two years and is now looking for someone who can help maximise the platform's capabilities, improve workflows, and support the wider team in getting the most from the system.

Reporting directly to the Head of Department, you will play a key role in managing project documentation and helping to develop and implement best practice across the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain the company\'s document control systems, primarily Procore.
  • Ensure project documentation is accurate, organised, and up to date.
  • Control the distribution and revision of drawings and technical documents.
  • Drive improvements within existing document control processes and systems.
  • Support the implementation of additional Procore functionality and workflows.
  • Coordinate drawing uploads, revisions, and document tracking.
  • Provide guidance and ad hoc training to internal teams on system use and best practice.
  • Monitor document compliance and ensure information is distributed correctly across projects.
  • Liaise with project teams and stakeholders to ensure documentation requirements are met.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and document management procedures.

About You

  • Previous experience in a Document Controller role.
  • Experience using Procore is highly desirable.
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills.
  • Confident managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to support and train colleagues.
  • A proactive approach with a desire to improve existing systems and processes.
