We are currently recruiting for a reliable and professional Gatesman / Gate Operative to join a busy construction project in Salford Quays. This is a long-term opportunity offering 40 weeks of work on a well-established site. The successful candidate will be responsible for controlling access to the site, ensuring only authorised personnel and visitors enter the premises, and maintaining a safe and secure working environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing access to and from the construction site
- Checking and monitoring site visitors and deliveries
- Ensuring only authorised personnel gain entry
- Maintaining visitor and delivery records
- Acting as the first point of contact for site arrivals
- Reporting any security concerns or incidents to site management
- Supporting overall site safety and security procedures
Requirements
- Previous experience in a Gatesman, Gate Operative, Traffic Marshall, Security or similar site-based role preferred
- Valid CSCS Card
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliable, punctual and professional attitude
- Ability to work independently and follow site procedures
- Construction site experience advantageous
