We are recruiting a Project Manager to deliver high-profile retail and manufacturing projects across the UK. Based from our Greater Manchester office, this role will involve managing high street retail installations from pre-construction through to completion, while regularly attending sites nationwide. This position is also well suited to an experienced Junior Project Manager who is ready to take the next step in their career, with support provided to enable a successful transition into a full Project Manager role.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end delivery of retail and manufacturing projects, ensuring they are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee site activities across multiple UK locations, maintaining clear communication between site teams, subcontractors, and internal departments.
- Ensure all works comply with company procedures, client requirements, and relevant industry regulations through regular site inspections, snagging, and quality control checks.
- Identify and resolve on-site and project-wide challenges promptly, minimising disruption and maintaining programme momentum.
- Maintain full commercial control of projects, including budget monitoring, cost reporting, variations, and final accounts.
- Liaise with clients, architects, designers, engineers, and other consultants to resolve technical queries and ensure smooth delivery.
- Oversee health & safety compliance across all sites, ensuring risk assessments and method statements are adhered to.
- Produce and maintain accurate project documentation, including programmes, progress reports, site records, and contractual correspondence.
- Provide regular updates to senior management and contribute to continuous improvement across project delivery processes.
Candidate Requirements
- Proven experience delivering projects within retail fit-out, manufacturing, or construction environments.
- Applicants currently operating at Junior Project Manager level and looking to progress are strongly encouraged to apply.
- Strong understanding of construction processes, site management, and project coordination.
- Commercially aware, with experience in managing budgets, costs, and variations.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
