About the Role
We are currently recruiting Picking and Packing Operatives to join a fast-paced warehouse team in Heywood. This is a hands-on role focused on stock replenishment and order packing using handheld scanners. No forklift trucks are used on site, and there is no rework involved.
Key Responsibilities
Replenishing stock accurately and efficiently
Packing orders using handheld scanning devices
Manual handling of goods
Maintaining a clean and organised work environment
Candidate Requirements
Must be punctual, reliable, and available to work weekends during peak season
Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
Working Hours
Standard Hours (Outside Peak):
Monday to Friday: 08:15 - 17:15
Arrival time on Day 1: 08:00
Breaks: 1 hour unpaid (either 15 mins AM + 45 mins lunch or a full 1-hour lunch)
Peak Period (November - January):
Operation runs 7 days a week
Weekend work is mandatory
Shift Patterns:
Weekdays: 11:00 - 20:00
Weekends: 08:00 - 17:00
Staff working weekends receive 2 days off during the week
No holidays permitted in November or December due to business demand
