PC and Laptop Builder Operative

Location: Heywood Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30 – 17:30 Company: A fast-growing supplier of refurbished and used IT equipment

Job Overview: Join a dynamic team in Heywood where your expertise in PC and laptop hardware will make a real difference. We are looking for a skilled and passionate Operative to support the refurbishing and assembly of IT equipment to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble and build PCs and laptops from assorted components

  • Book in IT equipment and carry out secure data wipes

  • Perform minor repairs and hardware upgrades

  • Conduct comprehensive functionality testing

  • Support general warehouse operations including order picking and stock management

  • Ensure cleanliness and organisation in the workspace

  • Load/unload palletised goods

  • Participate in stock counts and quality inspections

  • Requirements:

  • Strong passion for IT and computer hardware

  • Proven experience assembling and testing PCs/laptops

  • Familiarity with MS Office applications

  • Excellent spoken and written English

  • Ability to thrive in a busy, fast-paced environment

  • Experience in the electronics sector is a plus
