Job Overview: Join a dynamic team in Heywood where your expertise in PC and laptop hardware will make a real difference. We are looking for a skilled and passionate Operative to support the refurbishing and assembly of IT equipment to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble and build PCs and laptops from assorted components
- Book in IT equipment and carry out secure data wipes
- Perform minor repairs and hardware upgrades
- Conduct comprehensive functionality testing
- Support general warehouse operations including order picking and stock management
- Ensure cleanliness and organisation in the workspace
- Load/unload palletised goods
- Participate in stock counts and quality inspections
Requirements:
- Strong passion for IT and computer hardware
- Proven experience assembling and testing PCs/laptops
- Familiarity with MS Office applications
- Excellent spoken and written English
- Ability to thrive in a busy, fast-paced environment
- Experience in the electronics sector is a plus
- Comfortable with warehouse management systems
