Time Recruitment is searching for a Hospital Manager for a newly commissioned 32-bed acute mental health service providing specialist care on behalf of the NHS. Supporting adults from 18 years through to older age, the hospital delivers high-quality, person-centred treatment across four wards, all located on one level. The multidisciplinary teams work with individuals experiencing a wide range of mental health needs, including depression, schizophrenia and other mental illnesses, personality disorder, learning disability, and addictions. Care is delivered through a recovery-focused model designed to help every patient reach their fullest potential.

The Role

We are seeking an experienced Hospital Manager (CQC Registered Manager) to provide strategic, operational, and clinical leadership across the service. You will be responsible for ensuring safe, effective, and compliant care delivery, maintaining high-quality standards, and driving continuous improvement across all wards. This is a senior leadership role requiring strong oversight of governance, workforce, regulatory compliance, and service performance.

Candidate Profile

We are looking for a Hospital Manager who brings:

  • Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) status with unrestricted NMC registration
  • Proven senior leadership experience within a regulated mental health hospital or inpatient setting
  • Confidence in leading clinical governance, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance
  • Strong capability in workforce management, including recruitment, supervision, staffing, and performance oversight
  • The ability to work under scrutiny, make safe decisions, and maintain accountability in a fast-paced clinical environment

Desirable experience includes:

  • Previous appointment as a CQC Registered Manager in a hospital setting
  • Experience in budget management and oversight of service performance
