The Role:
We are seeking an enthusiastic Estimator to join a growing team of three, reporting directly to the Managing Estimator. The successful candidate will have a keen understanding of material costs and be able to work effectively under pressure while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate cost estimates for projects, including glazing, ceilings, walls, and partitions.
- Work collaboratively with the Managing Estimator to allocate and manage job opportunities.
- Support the team in responding to tender opportunities and pricing requests.
- Maintain awareness of material and labour costs to ensure competitive and profitable bids.
- Assist in the planning and scheduling of projects to meet client deadlines.
Requirements:
- Strong understanding of construction materials, costs, and project estimating.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and team‑working skills.
- Enthusiastic, proactive, and adaptable approach to work.
