The predicted salary is between 22000 - 26000 £ per year.
The majority of our equipment is exported, with a lead time of 9 months before dispatch and a further 3 months before installation and commissioning. This role ensures that parts for our machines are sent out to our customers for installation by the customers or our Field Service Engineers.
Main Responsibilities
- To strictly adhere to all Health & Safety regulations to ensure no possibility of endangering yourself and colleagues.
- Duty of care for secure (authority approved) packaging of export goods.
- Maintenance of a clean, tidy packing area.
- Maintenance of a clean and tidy storage area.
- Computer documentation of dispatched goods and stores.
- Forklift Truck Operation - Counterbalance - Desirable.
- Crane, Lift & Sling Operation - Desirable.
Development
- Willing to undertake development.
Reporting lines
- Directly report to Spares Manager, who reports to the Service Director.
Critical Skills and Personal Attributes
- Full, clean driving Licence.
- Ability to drive a Counterbalance Forklift Truck – (Desired).
- Ability to use hand tools.
- Time management capabilities.
- Ability to develop and maintain mutually beneficial relationships with colleagues.
- Ability to interface personably with customers – ambassadorial skills.
- Needs to be able to undertake lifting and handling of goods repeatedly, on a daily basis.
- Flexibility to address business needs.
Education and Experience
- Computer literate in Microsoft applications, Outlook, Excel and Word.
- Experience of working with parts / stock control systems.
- Stock take experience.
- Experience of working in an Industrial or Manufacturing environment.
- Exposure to an engineering environment.
