Assistant Estimator Location: West Midlands Salary: Up to £45,000 (depending on experience) + car allowance/company car About the Company Our client is a well-established contractor operating across the industrial sector, specialising in the refurbishment and fit-out of industrial sheds and warehouse units nationwide. With a strong pipeline of secured work and a collaborative, hands-on team culture, they are looking to strengthen their estimating function with an Assistant Estimator who is eager to develop and grow within the business. The Role This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a career in estimating within a supportive and practical environment. The role will involve working closely with experienced estimators and the wider commercial team, supporting the preparation and submission of tenders across a variety of industrial refurbishment projects. You will typically be involved in managing 3-4 live tenders at any one time, gaining exposure to the full estimating lifecycle. Full training will be provided where required, making this an ideal role for someone with the right attitude and ambition to develop their technical capability. Key Responsibilities Support the preparation of cost estimates and tender submissions Work collaboratively with the estimating and commercial teams Assist in reviewing drawings, specifications, and project requirements Help compile accurate and competitive pricing documents Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain quotations Contribute to tender planning and submission deadlines Support site visits and project assessments as required Maintain organised project records and documentation About You The company is particularly focused on attitude, drive, and cultural fit over extensive prior experience.
