Our client, a leading supplier of flooring and carpets glues, is currently seeking a versatile and skilled individual to join their team as an FLT Counterbalance driver. This role offers a unique split between production tasks and operating the forklift truck. It provides a fantastic opportunity for growth and development within the company, with the potential for a long‑term position and the possibility of transitioning to a permanent role.
Responsibilities
- Operate Counterbalance trucks efficiently and safely.
- Pack finished products into boxes, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
- Assemble boxes as needed for packaging purposes.
- Understand and follow instructions provided by supervisors.
- Maintain accurate records and keep track of numbers.
- Work independently and effectively without constant supervision.
Requirements
- Valid Counterbalance license.
- Experience in operating Counterbalance trucks.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or chemical environment is preferred.
- Ability to understand and follow instructions accurately.
- Strong numerical skills to keep track of quantities and measurements.
- Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high‑quality work.
- Self‑motivated and capable of working unsupervised.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
Working Hours
Monday to Friday: 0600 – 1400 hrs and 1400 – 2200 hrs rotating every 2 weeks.
Payrate £13.25 per hour.
