Forklift Counterbalance Driver

Location: Oldham, Greater Manchester Working Hours: Monday-Friday, 08:30-17:00 (30-minute unpaid break)

Job Description

A leading manufacturer of kitchen furniture and components based in Oldham is seeking an experienced Warehouse Operative for a temp-to-perm position. This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy, well-established team in a hands-on warehouse environment. A valid UK driving licence is required for this role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Order Picking – Use pick sheets to accurately select products and materials for customer orders.
  • Ensure all items are picked efficiently and correctly.
  • Quality Control – Carry out thorough inspections on finished products.
  • Identify defects or discrepancies and report them promptly.
  • Loading & Unloading – Safely load and unload materials and products from delivery vehicles.
  • Follow correct handling and storage procedures at all times.
  • Forklift Operation – Operate a forklift counterbalance truck when required.
  • Support material movement, loading, unloading, and product repositioning within the warehouse.

Additional Information

This is a physically demanding role involving regular lifting, carrying, and manual handling of heavy items. Although forklift operation is part of the job, the majority of tasks involve manual warehouse duties.
