With a strong pipeline of secured work and established framework agreements for the year ahead, they are now seeking an experienced Estimator to join their Manchester-based team.
Role Overview
The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the continued growth of the business, taking ownership of the full estimating function. This is an office-based position requiring a commercially astute estimator with proven experience in retail fit out / shop fitting who can hit the ground running.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full estimating process for multiple retail fit out projects.
- Prepare Bills of Quantities (BoQs) and detailed cost breakdowns.
- Review and manage incoming enquiries, tender packages and drawings.
- Conduct site visits and surveys across the UK as required.
- Engage with clients, suppliers, and internal teams to develop competitive and accurate tenders.
- Submit tenders, follow up, and play a critical role in winning work.
- Oversee projects from inception through to completion, ensuring estimates remain accurate and variations are managed.
- Work closely with the commercial and project delivery teams to support successful project outcomes.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Estimator specifically within retail fit out / shop fitting - this is essential.
- Strong commercial awareness with the ability to produce accurate and competitive estimates.
- Confident conducting site surveys and interpreting technical drawings.
- Ability to manage multiple tenders simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Local to Manchester or within a commutable distance.
- Must be office-based and able to integrate with the team from day one.
- Not seeking candidates from a general subcontractor background looking to "try their hand" - shop fitting experience is a priority.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to visit sites nationwide.
