Our client, a long-established manufacturer based in Dukinfield, is looking to recruit a Production Operative to join their team on a temporary to permanent basis, with an immediate start available. This is a hands-on role within a busy factory environment, involving machine operation and general production duties.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Operating production machinery, including mills, Barwell mixers and slitting machines
- Carrying out general factory and production operations
- Mixing and blending materials in line with production requirements
- Reading and following job instructions to ensure products meet quality and customer standards
- Cleaning tools, machinery and work areas, and maintaining tool boards
- Working safely at all times and reporting any unsafe conditions or faults to supervisors
- Using company equipment and materials responsibly
- Working to production targets set by the supervisor
- Maintaining high quality standards and minimising waste
- Keeping the workstation and surrounding area clean and organised
Working Hours
Monday to Thursday: 06:30 – 18:30
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for long periods during the shift
- Use of stairs to access work areas when required
- Good balance and awareness when working around machinery, conveyors and forklifts
- Ability to bend, stoop, twist and reach as part of daily duties
- Capable of lifting up to 25kg when required
- Good hand-eye coordination
