We are currently recruiting for an experienced Construction Manager / Site Manager (No.1) to oversee the delivery of a high-profile office and industrial fit-out project in Leeds. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on manager with a proven background in fit-out and refurbishment, capable of taking full responsibility for site operations and ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Take full responsibility as the No.1 Site Manager for the successful delivery of the project.
- Plan, programme and coordinate all site activities.
- Manage project schedules, resources and subcontractors.
- Monitor budgets, costs and project progress.
- Ensure works are completed in line with programme and quality expectations.
- Lead site teams and maintain effective communication with clients, contractors and stakeholders.
- Manage procurement and coordinate the supply chain.
- Identify and resolve site issues, minimising delays and maintaining productivity.
- Produce site reports and maintain accurate project documentation.
Health & Safety
- Ensure full compliance with CDM Regulations and HSE legislation.
- Carry out and review Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS).
- Promote and maintain a positive health and safety culture.
- Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions where required.
We're looking for someone with proven experience delivering office and industrial fit-out projects who can confidently manage all aspects of site operations.
You will have:
- Strong project planning and programme management skills.
- Experience managing multiple subcontractors and coordinating resources.
- Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- A sound understanding of construction methods, sequencing, drawings, building regulations and procurement.
- Commercial awareness and experience working with supply chains.
- Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail.
- The ability to work under pressure, solve problems quickly and maintain project momentum.
