Time Recruitment is working on behalf of a leading UK fire and security solutions provider to recruit an experienced Design & Estimation Manager. This is a key leadership role responsible for managing the design and estimating function, overseeing a small team, and delivering accurate, compliant, and commercially competitive quotations and tenders across fire and security projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the design and estimating team.
- Produce and review system designs, quotations, tenders, and cost estimates.
- Interpret specifications, drawings, and client requirements to create compliant solutions.
- Conduct site surveys and client meetings where required.
- Manage supplier and subcontractor pricing enquiries.
- Support sales, operational teams, and senior leadership with technical and commercial expertise.
- Ensure smooth project handovers following contract award.
- Monitor KPIs, tender success rates, and departmental performance.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years' experience in fire & security design, estimating, or technical sales.
- Strong knowledge of fire alarms, CCTV, access control, intruder alarms, and integrated security systems.
- Good understanding of relevant British Standards and industry regulations.
- Experience preparing detailed tenders and technical proposals.
- Strong leadership, communication, and commercial skills.
- Full UK driving licence.
