We are seeking a skilled and reliable Fabricator Welder to join our production team. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating and welding metal components to a high standard, following technical drawings and safety procedures. This role operates on a rotating shift pattern.

Working Hours

  • Shifts may include:
  • 6:00am - 2:00pm
  • 2:00pm - 10:00pm
  • 10:00pm - 6:00am

Flexibility to work any of the above shifts is required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Fabricate and weld metal components according to engineering drawings and specifications
  • Perform MIG and TIG welding to a high quality and consistent standard
  • Set up, operate, and maintain welding and fabrication equipment
  • Inspect completed work to ensure accuracy, strength, and finish
  • Follow all health and safety procedures at all times
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Work independently or as part of a team to meet production targets

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year proven experience as a Fabricator Welder
  • Must be fully conversant in MIG welding, steel fabrication, and general engineering practices
  • Experience working to engineering drawings is essential
  • MIG and TIG welding experience is essential
  • Previous welding experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively on the shop floor
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Good understanding of workplace health and safety standards

Weld Test

A weld test is required prior to starting the role to assess skill level and welding quality.

Desirable Skills (Optional)

  • Ability to work rotating or night shifts
  • Basic fitting and fabrication skills
