We are seeking a skilled and reliable Fabricator Welder to join our production team. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating and welding metal components to a high standard, following technical drawings and safety procedures. This role operates on a rotating shift pattern.
Working Hours
- Shifts may include:
- 6:00am - 2:00pm
- 2:00pm - 10:00pm
- 10:00pm - 6:00am
Flexibility to work any of the above shifts is required.
Key Responsibilities
- Fabricate and weld metal components according to engineering drawings and specifications
- Perform MIG and TIG welding to a high quality and consistent standard
- Set up, operate, and maintain welding and fabrication equipment
- Inspect completed work to ensure accuracy, strength, and finish
- Follow all health and safety procedures at all times
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Work independently or as part of a team to meet production targets
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year proven experience as a Fabricator Welder
- Must be fully conversant in MIG welding, steel fabrication, and general engineering practices
- Experience working to engineering drawings is essential
- MIG and TIG welding experience is essential
- Previous welding experience in a manufacturing environment
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively on the shop floor
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Good understanding of workplace health and safety standards
Weld Test
A weld test is required prior to starting the role to assess skill level and welding quality.
Desirable Skills (Optional)
- Ability to work rotating or night shifts
