Job Purpose: To support the efficient operation of the e-commerce warehouse by ensuring accurate picking, packing, and dispatching of online orders, maintaining inventory integrity, and contributing to a safe and productive working environment.
Responsibilities:
- Pick and pack customer orders accurately and efficiently using handheld scanners and/or pick lists.
- Ensure accurate picking, packing and dispatch of orders to meet customer requirements.
- Receive, check, and store incoming goods.
- Assist with stock counts and inventory audits.
- Prepare parcels for dispatch, ensuring correct labelling and documentation.
- Liaise with courier services as needed.
- Handle returned items, inspect for damage, and update inventory systems accordingly.
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with health and safety standards.
- Use warehouse management systems (WMS) to update stock levels and order statuses.
- Work closely with other warehouse operatives and supervisors to meet daily targets and KPIs.
Skills & Experience Required:
- Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics role (e-commerce preferred).
- Basic IT skills.
- Familiarity with WMS or inventory software.
- Experience with Linnworks and/or Sage 200 would be an advantage.
- Ability to lift and move items safely.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, or overtime as required.
