Role Overview
Time Recruitment are currently working with a well-established business who, due to a new project starting, are seeking experienced 2nd Fix Joiners to join our night-shift refurbishment team working within the retail environment at Dunelm, Chester. The successful candidates will be responsible for carrying out high-quality finishing joinery works, ensuring all installations meet company and client standards while maintaining a safe and productive working environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out all aspects of 2nd fix joinery work.
- Install internal doors, frames, skirting boards and architraves.
- Fit wall panelling, timber cladding and decorative finishes.
- Install counters, display units, shelving and retail fixtures.
- Complete finishing works to a high standard within programme deadlines.
- Read and interpret drawings and site instructions.
- Work closely with site management and other trades.
- Maintain a clean and safe working area at all times.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations and site procedures.
- Report any defects, issues or material shortages to the Site Manager.
Essential Requirements
- Proven experience as a 2nd Fix Joiner.
- Valid CSCS Card.
- Own tools and PPE.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and workmanship.
- Reliable, punctual and professional attitude.
- Experience working on retail fit-out or refurbishment projects.
Desirable Requirements
- IPAF and/or PASMA qualifications.
- Previous experience working on Dunelm or other retail fit-out projects.
- First Aid qualification.
