Role Overview


We are seeking two experienced Painter & Decorator Snaggers to support the completion of new-build residential properties for Countryside Vistry at Bellamy Road, Mansfield.


The successful candidates will be responsible for identifying, rectifying, and signing off painting and decorating defects in preparation for CML inspections. This role requires high attention to detail and the ability to work to strict quality standards within a fast-paced construction environment.



Key Responsibilities



  • Carry out painting and decorating snagging works on completed plots.

  • Identify and rectify defects highlighted through Clerk of Works inspections.

  • Use Site Audit Pro (or similar site quality management software) to review and manage snagging items.

  • Utilise area stickers to clearly identify and track outstanding defects.

  • Prepare plots to the required standard for CML inspections.

  • Complete and maintain sign-off sheets as snagging items are rectified.

  • Ensure all works are completed in line with company quality standards and programme requirements.

  • Liaise with site management and quality teams to ensure timely completion of defects.

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working area at all times.



Essential Requirements



  • Previous experience in painting and decorating snagging on new-build housing developments.

  • Ability to work from snagging lists and Clerk of Works reports.

  • Valid CSCS Card.

  • Own painting and decorating tools.

  • Full PPE including safety boots, hard hat, hi-vis vest, gloves, and protective eyewear.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.



Desirable Requirements



  • Experience using Site Audit Pro or similar snagging software.

  • Previous experience working on Countryside Vistry or other volume housebuilder sites.

  • Knowledge of CML inspection standards and requirements.
