Quality Controller - Food Production

Location: Trafford Park

Pay Rate: Β£13.17 per hour (raising to Β£13.57)

Hours: 47.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Quality Controller to join a busy food production facility in Trafford Park, specialising in chicken processing.

This is an excellent opportunity for a quality-focused individual with previous food manufacturing experience to become part of a growing team committed to maintaining the highest food safety and quality standards.

Shift Pattern:

  • 6:30am - 4:30pm, Monday to Friday

    OR

  • 4:45am - 2:45pm, Monday to Friday

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out quality checks throughout the production process.
  • Monitor product quality and ensure compliance with company standards.
  • Complete quality control documentation accurately and efficiently.
  • Conduct inspections of raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods.
  • Ensure food safety, hygiene, and GMP standards are maintained at all times.
  • Identify and report quality issues and support corrective actions.
  • Work closely with production teams to ensure compliance with customer and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • Previous experience working as a Quality Controller, Quality Assurance Assistant, or similar role within a food production environment.
  • Good understanding of HACCP principles and food safety standards.
  • Experience completing quality documentation and records.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good communication and organisational skills.
  • Experience within poultry, meat, or food manufacturing would be advantageous.
