Site Manager- Heritage Restoration & Refurbishment

Albert Dock, Liverpool | £6m-£9m Grade I Listed Project

Rare Opportunity to Lead a Landmark Heritage Project

Not every Site Manager role gives you the chance to leave a lasting mark on one of the UK's most iconic historic buildings. We're looking for a Site Manager with proven heritage restoration and listed building experience to take the lead on a prestigious Grade I Listed refurbishment at Liverpool's Albert Dock. This is a complex, high-profile project where protecting the building's history is just as important as delivering programme and quality.

Working on a scheme initially valued at £6m and growing to £9m, you'll play a key role in delivering specialist restoration, refurbishment and demolition works within a live heritage environment.

The Role

You'll be responsible for managing site operations from start to completion, coordinating trades, subcontractors and suppliers while maintaining the highest standards of health & safety, quality and programme delivery.

Key elements of the project include:

  • Heritage refurbishment and restoration works
  • Grade I Listed building preservation
  • Structural and internal demolition
  • Window restoration and replacement
  • Facade refurbishment
  • Managing works at height and scaffold operations
  • Liaising with clients, consultants and specialist heritage contractors

What We're Looking For

This role is all about relevant experience rather than years served.

We want to speak with Site Managers who have successfully delivered:

  • Heritage restoration projects
  • Grade I or Grade II Listed building schemes
  • Large-scale refurbishment projects (£5m+)
  • Demolition packages within complex live environments
  • External envelope, facade and window works
  • Projects involving extensive scaffold access

Backgrounds We'd Like To See

Candidates from specialist heritage, restoration and conservation contractors such as:

Quadriga, Clan Construction, Bullen Conservation, Specialist UK Restoration, DSR, Duggan & Parr, Maysand, UK Restoration, Stone Central and similar businesses.

What's On Offer

  • Start within the next 4 weeks
  • Project running through to the end of March
  • Opportunity to lead a flagship heritage scheme
  • High-profile client and landmark location
  • Genuine chance to showcase specialist restoration expertise
