Care Assistant - Day & Night Shifts
Location: Norden, Rochdale
Pay Rate: £12.71 per hour
Bank Holiday Pay: Time and a half
Shift Patterns: 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM or 8:00 PM - 8:00 AM
About the Care Home
We are recruiting dedicated and compassionate Care Assistants to join the team at a luxury, purpose-built care home in the beautiful Norden area of Rochdale.
The home provides high-quality residential care for older people, including specialist dementia care, with a strong focus on personalised support, dignity, comfort and residents' individual needs.
With 66 beds and a positive CQC report, the home is committed to maintaining excellent standards of care in a safe, welcoming and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities
As a Care Assistant, your duties will include:
- Providing personal care and maintaining residents' hygiene and dignity.
- Assisting residents with oral care and daily living activities.
- Supporting safe moving and handling, including the use of hoists.
- Assisting with care plans and monitoring residents' individual needs.
- Supporting medication rounds in line with training and procedures.
- Promoting good nutrition and hydration.
- Engaging residents in meaningful and therapeutic activities.
- Maintaining cleanliness and following infection prevention and control procedures.
- Assisting with supper and evening refreshments.
- Helping residents prepare for bed and ensuring their comfort throughout the night.
- Providing compassionate support to residents living with dementia.
- Reporting changes in residents' health or wellbeing to the appropriate team members.

- Have good communication and observation skills.
- Are willing to follow care procedures and safeguarding guidelines.
- Have experience in elderly or dementia care, or are willing to develop their skills.
