The Role
Working closely with the Commercial Manager, Project Managers and site teams, you will take commercial responsibility for multiple fit-out and refurbishment projects, typically valued around £1m.
This is a varied role offering exposure to fast-paced projects across the hospitality and retail sectors, with opportunities to develop your career within a stable and growing contractor.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing the commercial aspects of multiple fit-out and refurbishment projects.
- Preparing and managing project budgets and cost plans.
- Producing valuations, variations and final accounts.
- Procuring subcontractors and managing subcontract packages.
- Monitoring project costs and maximising commercial performance.
- Identifying and mitigating commercial risks.
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships.
- Supporting and mentoring junior members of the commercial team.
- Working collaboratively with operational teams to ensure successful project delivery.
- Undertaking occasional UK-wide travel to project sites.
About You
We're keen to speak with Quantity Surveyors who have experience within the fit-out or refurbishment sector and enjoy working in a fast-moving project environment.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor within fit-out, refurbishment or interiors.
- Strong commercial acumen and cost management skills.
- Experience managing subcontractors, procurement and variations.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
Desirable
- Experience within Food & Beverage, Hospitality or Retail projects.
- Experience working for a main contractor.
- Degree or HNC/HND in Quantity Surveying or a related construction discipline.
